TERMS & CONDITIONS


Please carefully read the following Terms and Conditions and make sure that you understand them before placing an order with Rude Design. These Terms and Conditions will apply to any contract between us for the sale of goods and services to you. Acceptance of our quote happens when you place your order and return a signed copy of these Terms and Conditions, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us. If you refuse to accept these Terms and Conditions, Rude Design will not be able to supply goods and services to you.

Rude Design reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect as soon as they are posted on the website and it is your responsibility to read the Terms and Conditions should you wish to place an order with us. All orders placed with Rude Design will be subject to these Terms and Conditions. Rude Design reserves the right to cancel an order at any stage.

INTRODUCTION


I suggest that you send your wedding invitations to your guests two to three months before your big day,  For a holiday weekend or destination wedding, you should allow a little extra time - I'd recommend three to four months.  You should also request that guests RSVP at least one month prior to your wedding so that we have enough time for design and production of the on-the-day stationery.

To ensure that you aren't disappointed, you should contact Rude Design design at least eight weeks before you want to send your invitations out.

We will always try to accommodate tighter timelines where we can.  Depending on the time of year and our current schedule, some jobs may incur a rush fee.

TIME GUIDELINE


Upon approval of Rude Design's quotation, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required before any design work can begin.  An invoice for the deposit will be sent by Rude Design.

Once final proofs have been agreed upon, the remainder of the balance will be due before printing begins.

All costs are quoted in, and are to be paid in, South African Rands by bank transfer. Bank details will appear on your invoice.  Rude Design is not VAT registered and it is therefore not charged.

Rude Design cannot be held responsible for any delay on delivery as a result of late payment.

QUOTATIONS & PAYMENTS

 


PDF proofs and final artwork will be sent via email, unless you request otherwise. Great care is taken to ensure all information is accurate. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of you, the client, to check layout, copy, spelling and grammar. If designs are approved with typing errors and are subsequently printed, Rude Design cannot take responsibility or be held liable for any resulting cost. If, in this instance, reprints are required,  they will be charged for in full. It is therefore of the utmost importance that you check all spelling and copy thoroughly before approving any designs.

Please note that the colour on your screen may differ from printed colour because each screen is collaborated differently and this is particularly noticeable on phones and tablets.

It is therefore advisable to print off all PDF proofs and final artwork before giving your approval. This will help to ensure that the scale is correct, and that all fonts can be read at the correct size, and that you are happy with the colour. Please bear in mind that printers also vary and that your final stationery will be printed on the highest quality professional print press which means that colours may differ slightly.

If Pantone colour targets have been specified, this is just a visual guide as it is not possible to accurately match Pantone colours using a digital CMYK print process.

Design and proofing takes time and this has been factored into the cost. Three (3) proofs are included in the design fee and thereafter proofs are charged at R280 each. I recommend that you carefully check the design and content and clearly notify Rude Design of any information that needs to be amended in order to save yourself extra costs.

PROOFS & ARTWORK


There is no minimum order, but please keep in mind when ordering that the unit costs go down as quantities increase.

Rude Design prefers to take on all stationery from start to finish (save-the-date, invitation and on-the-day stationery), as this allows for continuity in design style.

ORDERS


All orders are sent for next-day delivery via a tracked courier service (the signature of the recipient will be required). The cost of delivery in Gauteng is included in our quotation. Deliveries further afield will be quoted as and when they are required. Special arrangements for international deliveries will be discussed with, and agreed upon, by the client before sending. A delivery date and address will be confirmed with you before your stationery is posted. In order to avoid incurring extra delivery costs, it is important to ensure that a trusted person is available to receive and sign for your package.

While our courier service has proven to be very reliable, Rude Design cannot be held liable for any missing parcels. It is strongly recommended that you sign off final artwork well in advance so that we allow for any problems that may occur.

If you would prefer to collect your stationery, arrangements can be made (obviously at no cost).

DELIVERY & COSTS


Once an order has been placed, we will do our best to accommodate any quantity amendments required. However, if collection, delivery or extra material costs are incurred, they will be charged to you.

If an order is cancelled after time, collection, delivery, material or labour costs have been incurred, they too will be charged to you.

Your deposit is non-refundable and unfortunately, we cannot waive this fee if you cancel your order at any stage. If third party costs have been incurred by the time your order has been cancelled, these will be charged to you in addition to the deposit payment.

CANCELLATIONS


All stationery artwork and designs remain the copyright of Rude Design and may not be reproduced in any form without written permission from Rude Design.

It is the client's responsibility to acquire permission to reproduce any copyrighted material submitted for their stationery (copy, poetry, songs, etc). You will be required to indemnify Rude Design in writing should any infringement or copyright claims by a third party be made in respect of material provided.

Rude Design reserves the right to use any stationery created for the client to promote our products and services.

These Terms and Conditions exist between Rude Design and the Client and no other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

These Terms and Conditions (and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in relation to them) shall be governed by South African law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
